Tata Communications Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 2818.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 821.90 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008. Total Income has decreased from Rs 10314.60 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 to Rs 8234.90 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2009.

ACC Ltd

ACC Ltd has acquired a 100% equity stake in Encore Cement & Additives Pvt Ltd. The said Company has now become a wholly owned subsidiary of ACC Ltd. Encore Cement & Additives Pvt Ltd has a 2.00 lakh tonne capacity slag grinding unit in Vishkapatnam. This acquisition will help the Company further strengthen its presence in Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

CPCL

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) has posted a net profit from the ordinary activity after tax of Rs 2203.60 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2009 as compared to Net loss of (12698.90) million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008. Total Income has increased from Rs 56395.40 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 to Rs 89389.80 illion for the quarter ended December 31, 2009.
